I usually wake up at 5:30 am then I go to the gym. Walking with me is pretty annoying as I am off-balance and slow. I am struggling to climb the stairs. My diet is quite different from most part of the people. In the past 8th month my time spent in a hospital, GP, pharmacy went through the roof. I had those periods where I couldn’t do anything else than lay down in bed (not even able to go to the bathroom), etc. Amy Forrest you are always there for me no matter what, thank you so much. You are my rock and I love you.

Friday 7th February I took part in World Rowing Indoor Championships and I took the podium with the Bronze medal in 500m race, french ranking. It will not have been possible if it was not with your support, prayers, and donations.

World Rowing Indoor Championships 2020 – The results

Dear all,

Thank you so much for your support, prayers, donations and kind words. Thanks to those who made a special effort to attend the event.

On Friday I took the podium for 500m race with 1:43 minute. I’m delighted to bring back home the Bronze medal on french ranking.

On Saturday I did a better time (8:01) than British Rowing Indoor Championships in Dec 2019 (8:14). It’s an improvement, it is all that matter.

World Rowing Indoor Championships 2020

First of all, thank you for your support for British Rowing Indoor Championship in Dec 2019 and thanks to those who have donated to the MS Society. We need everybody to find a cure.

Tout d’abord, merci pour votre soutien lors des Championats Britanniques d’Aviron en Salle en décembre 2019 et merci à ceux qui ont fait un don à la MS Society. Nous avons besoin de tout le monde pour trouver un remède.

Spiderman rame pour MS Society…

Je disais lors d’une interview pour FrenchMorning :“Si j’atteins 100% de mon objectif, je porterai une perruque de Jack Sparrow dans Pirates des Caraïbes mais si je dépasse les 150%, je serai Spiderman”

On est déjà à 170%. J’ai un nouveau costume et la Fédération Anglaise d’Aviron est d’accord pour que Spiderman s’échauffe. Ha ha

Je vais faire de mon mieux pour être performant (même si avec la Sclérose en plaques on ne peut prévoir vraiment). Quoiqu’il en soit, on est ensemble.

La SEP ne m’empêchera pas de rire, ne m’empêchera pas de chanter et ne m’empêchera certainement pas d’aimer.

British Rowing Indoor Championship 2019

Only a few more weeks until the British Rowing Indoor Championships. On 7th December I’ll take part in this rowing competition to fundraise for MS Society.

If we meet the fundraising target then I will wear a Jack Sparrow Wig !

And if we raise more than £1500 then I will wear my Spiderman outfit during Warm ups.

So far we have smashed 52% of the target.

Cette photo a été prise lors de mon dernier marathon, en 2016. Au cours des 2 années suivantes j’ai tenté de courir success. Finalement j’ai ete diagnostiqué avec une
Sclérose en plaques (SEP ou MS en anglais) en septembre 2019. Ce diagnostic signifie malheureusement que je ne peux plus courir… mais je peux ramer!

Le 7 décembre 2019, je participerai au Mizuno-Championnats britanniques d’aviron en salle et je collecte des fonds pour MS Society.

Sorry I had disappeared. This picture was taken during my last marathon, in 2016. I
struggled to run over the following 2 years, leading to me being diagnosed with
Multiple Sclerosis in September 2019. This diagnosis sadly means I can’t
run anymore…. but I can row!

Baking in a rainy weather, without the proper tools

Hi folks,

I know it looks pretty stupid not to check first if you have got all the instruments. But here is the thing, you never know one day you might found yourself in a position you will have to bake 300 macaroons and “Surprise!” No kitchen Aid or Hand mixer.

In this situation:

• No Hand mixer / Kitchen aid
• No electric scale
• No Oven thermometer

The most part of my Pastry chef friends would probably insult me for trying. But you know me by now, of course I tried. I tried twice

The tools obvioulsy this Old Scale didn’t help

The Mix. (too liquid)

Wasn’t dry enough before to put in the oven

2nd mix with more ground almounds (will dry quicker)

not too bad but an oven without automatic Fan is better

 

On average 22 veterans takes their own lives by day

The True Battle for Soldiers

It’s heartbreaking to realize that the battle doesn’t end when military men and women come home. The sad truth today is that the number of military suicides exceeds the total number of those killed in battle – an average of 22 veterans and 1 active duty soldier a day, totaling almost 8,000 suicides a year. That means by the end of today, almost 22 soldiers will have taken their own lives.

Admitting that there’s a problem, for some, can be the toughest part of the battle. The stigma of shame associated with mental health issues and PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) overtakes asking for help. While we feel pride for our loved ones, they are struggling to express what they’ve experienced while away. Instead of reaching out and talking about the problem, soldiers are choosing to end their lives to find relief. We often forget about these invisible wounds soldiers might have, which results in too many left feeling embarrassed and alone.
