Clipper round the World 15/16, THE PROJECT

Clipper, round the world is one of the biggest challenges of the natural world and an endurance test like no other.

It’s a race around the world on a 70-foot ocean racing yacht.

Divided into eight legs and 16 individual races, you can choose to complete the full circumnavigation or select individual legs. I choose the leg 2 : South Atlantic ocean.

Normally the domain of seasoned pros, this supreme challenge is taken on by ordinary, everyday people like me.

After a 4 weeks rigorous training course, I will be ready to commence  an unparalleled challenge where taxi drivers rub shoulders mix with housewives,  and engineers team up with rugby players.

Let’s show how ordinary everyday people can achieve extraordinary things with faith and effort.

-Wonder foundation: Providing training in Health & Hygiene for women in Ivory Coast

– Notre Dame Refugee Centre providing advice in legal, admin or translation to the asylum seekers or refugees.

I’ve never sailed before but I believe nothing is impossible and I am therefore attempting Leg 2 of Clipper international sailing race: South Atlantic ocean from Brazil to South Africa.

The goal is to raise £20K for the race cost and for these 2 charities which helps distress people to come back to an ordinary life (which is for them extraordinary).

Dream, try, stumble, succeed, accomplish.

Every successful story starts with a dream, an attempt, some injuries.

Yes, it can be difficult.

Yes, you will probably get hurt physically or psychologically.

But overall, what you achieve  is bigger than that.

Just try and keep going.

I can’t stop.

I won’t stop.
